The Lamb Inn
From 9am till midnight, we've got everything from the best espresso coffee, real ales and quality wines to bar snacks, b&b and gastro food. We cook to order a short fresh beautiful menu seven days a week, lunchtime and dinner and now we have some sumptuous en-suite rooms as well.
The Lamb Inn is a 16th century former coaching house with open fires, low ceilings, comfy sofas, stunning bedrooms and a private room for parties of less than fifty. It's a typical village pub, always welcoming, always something going on but rarely packed with nowhere to sit. There's also a lovely sheltered garden on three levels, perfect for summer’s evenings...
Accommodation Our rooms were completed in April 2008 and include everything you would expect from a 5 star hotel except the price. Two of our rooms are nearly double the size of your average hotel room. They have under floor heating, power showers, flat screen TVs, tea and fresh coffee, orthopaedic king-size beds. We also have the latest fire alarms and detectors for your peace of mind.
Tarrif We will sometimes offer a discount for those not having breakfast but otherwise our rates range from £65 to £89 per room per night. (Don't you hate places that charge per person per night)
Conference/Meetings Our function room incorporates a comfortable cinema with Dolby B surround sound, digital projector for computer or slide presentations and music if you want it. More importantly, we offer good food.

During the morning, we can provide tea, coffee and snacks. At lunch, we will serve you quality food whether it's a beef and ale casserole, an a la carte menu for twenty or sandwiches. We can provide basic technical assistance and can also arrange for IT experts if you need them.
At the end of the day you can come down to the bar and sit by a warm fire for a well-kept ale and some banter (or a newspaper if you want to ignore the landlord!) It's also a great venue for after meeting dinner and drinks
Our food...
..is what makes us stand out from the crowd. We keep it short and simple but emphasise flavour and use quality ingredients, mainly local. We serve bar snacks from 9.30am until close and a full menu lunchtime and evening every day. French head chef Franck Gautherot has just joined us having recently moved from London and has experience in France, the US and England. Post-Christmas we look forward to local food with global style.

Our Drink...
We are extremely careful that our real ale is always perfect and fresh, thus we do offer more than five real ales at a time. That said we never offer less than three ales so choice is usually good. Despite our growing popularity, one or other is going to be sitting around too long if we try to offer eight or nine beers. Our beer is good and we're in the 2007 and 2008 Good Beer Guides to prove it. Lamb Inn regulars are aware that our wine offering is much better quality than most pubs and is very good value. Our house wines that are around a tenner a bottle have been seen in other establishments at £16 a bottle! Of course we do sell more expensive wines as well but we have a smaller mark-up on them.
Basically the landlord would like to charge more for everything but he also doesn't see why wine drinkers should subsidise beer drinkers the whole time and that's why our wines are reasonable!
LAMB INN - CINEMA with a difference!
We have a cinema/conference room and skittle alley that's equipped for digital slide presentations or cinema with Dolby B surround sound.
The last Friday of every month sees an open mic music night - a good intro to the pub. See link to CRAMP on our links page if you're a talented musician or interested in coming.
