Dining
The simple traditional cuisine which pays tribute to Devon Produce and Local Seafood is for many the highlight of their stay. The Hoops has won several awards for the quality of its cooking including the 'RAC Restaurant Award' and 'Real Food Award'. We use the best of fresh ingredients including herbs, fruit and vegetables gathered from our own gardens to create quality British food with a modern twist. Our seasonal changing menus feature dishes such as Steak Ale & Kidney Pudding and Treacle Tart with Whisky & Clotted Cream.
Bars
Steeped in Ancient History The Hoops Inn has been a landmark on the rugged Atlantic Coastal route between Devon and Cornwall for over 600 years. During that time people travelling by gig, coach and horse have refreshed themselves here, while smugglers arrived by tortuous footpaths to seek sanctuary and distribute their spoils. Nowadays your chosen tipple may no longer be the contraband of old, but the atmosphere in which you imbibe is still redolent of those times.
