Mill End boasts an award-winning restaurant featuring the finest local produce including free range eggs, home-cured gravadlax, organic vegetables, local beef and the finest, freshest fish caught off the Devon and Cornish coasts. 

A young and innovative culinary team is headed by Barney Mason who has gathered together a truly international crew, with experience ranging from Southern France to great ocean liners. 

The combination of enthusiastic, young creative chefs, classical training and outstanding local produce has produced menus that have won critical acclaim with both the press and regular guests.

We only cook what is best on the day and in season – our menus change continually.

The local area 
One of Mill End’s great advantages is that you are already on a walk – the Two Moors Way - which runs from Exmoor in the north all the way down to the South Devon coast. From this ancient artery, you can explore fabulous routes in all directions, stepping back in time to a land of legend and mystery. Some 600 yards of private salmon & trout fishing, eight miles of game fishing and still water fishing on local lakes await your pleasure. Or how about a trip to the National Trust owned, Lutyens-designed Castle Drogo and gardens nearby. The natural beauty of Dartmoor and the West Country is waiting to be explored on foot or by car. You may prefer a spot of golf, pony trekking, hunting, shooting, hot air ballooning or a lovely walk along the river to the small moorland town of Chagford.
