C. S. Lewis, Lynton - August 1925. The historic Lynton Cottage Hotel is a real home from home, a country house hotel with spectacular sea views over Lynmouth's picturesque bay set in the heart of Exmoor National Park, North Devon. News - Our restaurant has just been awarded 2 AA Rosettes!

Lynton Cottage Hotel is now a totally non-smoking hotel under new management. However, previous guests will be pleased to hear that the chef (Allan) is in partnership with the former head housekeeper (Heather) and their respective partners. We will be offering, along with our usual high standard menu, bistro style food lunch time and evening, morning coffee and afternoon teas

Accommodation
All of our rooms are non-smoking and are ensuite with remote control TV and tea/coffee making facilities but best of all, each one takes advantage of the stunning location and all offer sea views.

Bay View
This room really does have a view "to die for" together with a sumptuous 6' bed. Go on Treat your loved one and yourself but Book Early for this one!

Standard Rooms
Good-sized quality bedrooms each with its own distinct character - some even have small balconies where you can sit and fully appreciate the views. All have baths and showers and of course the sea view. Please note rooms with the best views book up quickly.

Cuisine
"Lynton Cottage excelled with an extensively imaginative menu combining locally caught fish and traditional fare with really innovative dishes inspired by Mediterranean and Thai Cuisine. Everything was expertly cooked with fine attention to detail." Awarded 2 AA rosette.

We endeavour to source as much local produce as possible because we believe that Exmoor has the best to offer. Chef/partner Allan Earl produces honest cuisine with every attention to detail and presentation, thus earning a 2nd Rosette. As well as Sanford's Restaurant we will now be offering a Bistro style menu in the bar offering a more casual form of dining at lunch times and dinner, whichever you choose we know you won't be disappointed.

Guest Areas
All of our Public areas exude Country House Style, from the warm and friendly bar, the Georgian lounge to the spacious but intimate dining room. The panoramic view is evident from all of these rooms, which provide you with the ideal place to relax after your day in beautiful North Devon. The Terrace is particularly popular during the day for those much needed drinks and lunches, simply relax with the daily papers or just take in that view!  
There is ample private car parking at the hotel.
